Vendee Labs Limited, registered in the States of Jersey ("we", "us", "our"). This notice explains how we collect and use your personal data when you use the VendeeX agentic commerce proof of concept at vendeex.ai.

What We Collect

When you create a Vendee Avatar, we collect:

• Name - to personalise your agent dialogue
• Email address - as a unique identifier for session persistence
• Town/City, State/Province, Country - to enable shipping calculations and buy-local search
• Buy-local preference and radius - to prioritise nearby sellers
• Product preferences - to shape agent search and ranking behaviour
• Keep Me Informed opt-in - only if you choose to receive updates

What We Do Not Collect

We deliberately do not collect: full street address, password, payment details, or date of birth. This data minimisation is consistent with governance-by-design principles.

Legal Basis

We process your data under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 on the basis of:

• Consent - you provide your data voluntarily when creating an avatar
• Legitimate interest - to demonstrate the VendeeX platform and improve our services

How We Use Your Data

• To personalise your AI agent's search results and dialogue
• To calculate shipping options based on your location
• To prioritise local sellers when you enable buy-local
• To restore your avatar when you return (via email lookup)
• To send VendeeX updates if you opted in

Data Retention

Avatar data is retained for the duration of the proof of concept period. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
